The Quest for Words

The only perfect writing is a blank page.

When you can still enjoy your vision pure, unadulterated by sentences, commas, and periods. Before words have distorted your dream's angles, made dark what is light, and sucked the air from the room. Oh, how I have come to believe in the blank page. I could not live without it.

I am writing a novel. That sentence alone impresses many people. They don't see all the blank pages without sentences or feel what it is like to pull one's guts free, rearrange them, and put them back every day. Each word takes 100 brain cells and, as I type, wipes away a bit more of my fingerprints so that eventually, I will be an empty shell, unidentifiable even to myself.

Welcome to my blog. I plan to journal about the quest for words to fill a novel. 76,000 more words needed to reach the finish line. I stand on the side of the road, looking hopefully toward the future. Will work for words.

Join me. Tell me what you will do for words.
